About the Tombstone Design
This tombstone was crafted in polished black granite — a timeless and dignified material that withstands the elements and retains its shine for decades. The design features:
- A circular disc headstone with an embedded ceramic photo of the baby girl, so her smile is preserved forever
- Pink laser-engraved lettering — chosen by the family to reflect the softness and femininity of their little girl
- Star motifs and heart designs engraved on the flat granite grave cover, symbolising love and innocence
- A personalised epitaph on the grave cover, written from the heart by the family
- A sturdy facebrick foundation that anchors the structure securely in the ground, ensuring long-term stability
The result is a memorial that is both visually striking and deeply personal.
The Installation Process
Our team handled the full installation at South Park Cemetery, Germiston — from laying the facebrick base to positioning the granite slabs and securing the headstone. The layered granite design gives the grave a structured, tiered appearance that stands out respectfully within the cemetery.
The facebrick foundation is a standard part of our installation process. It provides structural integrity beneath the granite slabs and ensures the tombstone remains level and intact over time, even as soil shifts seasonally.
